Natural Intelligence
Natural intelligence is gifted by nature to humans and some animals. For example,
when you take a sip of hot milk, you feel the heat and put the cup away to cool down.
Once this has happened to you for the first time, you always check before taking a sip
next time. This is called experience . From such experiences, human beings become
intelligent.
Human brain is one of the most intricate and mysterious organ of the human body. It
is extremely powerful and also capable of performing the following functions:
• Learn from different experiences.
• Understand complex concepts.
• Apply logic and reason to solve mathematical problems.
• Recognise patterns.
• Make inferences and decisions Retain information.
• Communicate with other human beings through different parts of the body.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence or AI refers to the intelligence created by humans. In other
words, Artificial Intelligence is the ability of a machine to think and learn. It makes
machines as smart as humans.
Artificial Intelligence focuses on building smart machines that are capable of
performing a wide range of tasks which usually requires human intelligence and
cognition.
These intelligent machines are infused with the capability of:
• Learning from experience and historical data.
• Analysing their surrounding environment.
• Performing actions accordingly.
• Recognise patterns.
• Recognise faces and objects.
SIMILARITIES BETWEEN HUMANS AND MACHINES
Machines have various qualities similar to humans in various aspects. Some of them
are as follows:
• Just like people, machine can learn too.
• They gain knowledge and then they learn how to improve and enhance themselves
based on the acquired facts.
