Tools, Shelter and Fire

As they lived in forests, they would kill

wild animals and ate their flesh. They also

ate fruits and vegetables. They did not

know about fire. So they ate raw food. They

had no weapons as we have today to kill

Slowly, they learnt to grow crops of wheat,

rice and oat. They also started to tame

animals such as dogs, goats, sheep and

horses. Dogs guarded their caves. Goats

and sheep gave them milk and meat. They

Discovery of Wheel

A big change in the life of early

humans came when they made wheel.

They made cart and tamed cows. The

bullocks were used to draw cart.

Later, early man lived in houses made of

mud. These houses developed in villages,
