Large areas where trees and plants grow close together are called
forests. Forests form an important part of our environment. Plants
and trees clean the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing

timber, paper, rubber, and more. Forests also prevent soil erosion.

forests, tidal forests, thorn forests and mountain forests. They are rich in
biodiversity and provide shelter to a wide variety of plants and animals.
