In the School

Different teachers teach different subjects to students in the classrooms.

Students study academic subjects such as English,
Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social studies.

They also learn music, dance, physical exercises,

and art and craft.

Besides the teachers, following people also help us in the school.

The receptionist welcomes visitors to the school. You can take her help, if you

want to call up your father or mother.

The nurse or caretaker cares for you if you feel unwell. You can go to her in the
medical room to take medicine if you are unwell or you get hurt.

In the Post office

Do you know who helps you get your letters from friends and relatives? Postmen

bring letters to your homes and offices.

You drop your letters in the letterbox. Then, they are taken to the post office.

There, the letters are sorted according to the place they must be sent to. The

letters are then sent by train or plane to different parts of the country and

outside the country.

In the Hospital

Doctors and nurses look after us when we fall sick or
hurt ourselves. So, the next time you go to a hospital

or a clinic, do not feel scared of them. Doctors and

nurses take care of the patients in the hospital.

In the Fire Station

Sometimes, buildings catch fire. A firefighter helps us to put out a fire.
