We must try to follow safety rules all the time. We should learn to take care of
ourselves and others too. Knowing about safety habits is an integral part of our

learning process.

Bobby, Madan, Saira, Reema and Zahid are classmates. This week is a 'Safety

Week' in their school. They are learning many important safety rules from

different helpers. Come, let us learn with them.

Be Safe on the Road

MONDAY

I am Bobby.

Today, a traffic policeman came to our school. He told us many important safety
rules. I learnt that–

1. We should not play or run on the road.

2. We must never cross a road by ourselves. We should cross a

road on the Zebra Crossing or the Pedestrian Crossing.

3. We should walk on the pavement. Where there is no

pavement, we should walk on the right side of the road so

that we can see the traffic coming.

4. We must follow the rule—look to the right, look to the left

and look to the right again, then cross the road.
