Energy minerals are natural resources
that give us energy or power.
Coal, petroleum, and natural gas are
called energy minerals because they give
us heat, light, and power.
Coal : India is the second-

in the world. It is found in

rock used to produce electricity and heat.

limited. They take millions of years to
form. Thus, it is necessary to use mineral
resources wisely and conserve them for
the future. For example, in place of
petroleum and coal, we should try to use
other sources of energy like Sun, wind
and water. We must protect the mineral
wealth of our country at any cost.
