India is rich in art, culture and literature. It has different languages,
dance forms, and music. People wear different kinds of clothes and
celebrate many festivals. India has a very old and rich heritage of art
and culture. There are many wonderful paintings, sculptures,
valuable literature, and other interesting features to see in every state.
Indian art can be classified into different branches like dance, music,
painting and architecture.
Our Languages
There are several languages in India, but twenty-two languages are
officially recognised. These are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi,
Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali,
Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Maithili, Bodo,
Santhali, Dogri, and Urdu. Sanskrit is the oldest language. Hindi is the
official language of India, and English language was introduced in
