Our series Journeys Through Society (A book of Social Studies) course for classes 1 to 8 has proposed a
pedagogical framework involving a spiral learning approach. It focuses on the essential parameters, including
active knowledge constructions, reflective learning and project-based STEM education.
We are aware of the varied teaching pedagogies but uncertain of the methods of implementation and
assessment in our curriculum transaction at times. To support this execution, the unique feature that stands
apart in each book is that each parameter is supported by a pedagogical principle with suggestions for
implementation in classroom practices. One of the major focuses for NEP is to change the current education
system of role learning to evidence based and hands-on learning. NEP recognises and sets a path for a multi-
disciplinary approach to education which is philosphically aligned to STEM learning.

In this series, we've always promoted learning to doing, making children active learners, helping them
understand the latest teaching to be at par with the developments of the world, and developing crucial 21st
century skills. In this series STEM worksheets are provided to students to enhance their STEM skills through fun
experiments using the skills of ideation, research, critical thinking, iteration, observation and creativity.

Our series will help students consolidate their STEM concepts in an interactive, engaging and exploratory way.
