WORKING OF A COMPUTER
In the same way, a computer also works in these three basic steps:
1. Input
2. Process Input
3. Output Process
It is known as the IPO cycle (Input-Process-Output).
Output
Input
We need to enter letters, numbers or any other information into the computer to
make it work. These are called data .
The data and instructions entered into the computer together called input . Input
to the computer is usually given by clicking the mouse or typing on the
keyboard.
The input devices are used to send information to the computer. Some of the
input devices are as follows :

Process
The process of changing the entered data into
meaningful information is called processing .
The CPU works on data according to the instructions to
give the result. The CPU is also known as the processing
device.
Output
The final result or meaningful information is called output . When the CPU
finishes processing the data, the output is displayed on the monitor. Output from
the computer may be images on the monitor or printouts from the printer.
The output devices allow us to receive information from the computer.
