RECOMMENDATIONS IN APPS

Most of the streaming apps, like Netflix, Disney Hotstar, YouTube etc. use AI to
recommend shows and movies based on the viewer's choice. Various music apps like
Spotify, play music based on the user's listening habits. E-commerce apps like Amazon,
Myntra, and Flipkart, also use AI for product recommendations.

Navigation apps, like Google Maps and Apple Maps use AI to update a commuter about
traffic congestion in a particular area and about the estimated time to reach a particular
destination. While you are travelling in

your car, AI calculates the average
speed of your car, and the distance
between your current location and
destination. To update you about traffic
congestion, it takes note of the number
of active mobile connections in an area

where traffic is expected and relays the
information on your mobile app.
