INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical
devices that have unique identifiers (UIDs). This

technology can transfer data over a network without any
human intervention. The devices can be your smartphones,
            refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, etc.
For example, a lightbulb can be switched ON using a
smartphone app. To check SIDS (Sudden Infant Death
Syndrome), the Mimo monitor is a new kind of infant
monitor that provides parents with real-time information
about their baby's respiration, skin temperature, body
position and activity level on their smartphones.

            EDGE COMPUTING

Edge computing is a subsection of cloud computing. Edge computing keeps computer data close to
            the user.
Just like cloud computing, edge computing provides storage and applications to be consumed by
the end-users. However, edge computing runs fewer processes in the cloud and moves those
processes to local places, such as on a user's computer or any loT device.

Edge computing is used in technologies such as autonomous vehicles, video conferencing, and
augmented reality. Edge computing, for example, reduces the delay of waiting for a server in the
cloud to respond when an autonomous car makes a split-second choice to brake and avoid a
            collision.

               Match the following:

               1. Al machines a. a software robot that mimics human actions
               2. RPA b. network of physical devices that have UIDs

               3. Data Science c. a subsection of cloud computing
               4. IoT d. smart and intelligent as the human brain

               5. Edge computing e. set of algorithms that find and apply patterns to data

            AUGMENTED REALITY AND VIRTUAL REALITY
Augmented reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) bridge the digital and real worlds. Both these
technologies find the greatest use in entertainment, sports/gaming, close interactive eye to eye
communication and aided shopping experiences. Imagine sitting at home and browsing through a
store in London where you can see and feel the merchandise you wish to buy. This technology is
also used in education. Imagine being a live participant in a historical battle or a student of anatomy

in medical school. You can really feel the battle or touch the organs.
