THE WORLD OF AI
Artificial intelligence (Al) is a field of study in computer science that aims to create intelligent
machines that think and react to situations in the same way as human beings. These machines

could be a computer, a robot, or a software. Some features that a computer with artificial
intelligence would be designed to have, include speech recognition, learning, reasoning,
problem-solving, and self-correction.
An important example of Al technology is the machine learning. Machine learning is a feature by
which a computer is able to study a situation and act without programming. It focuses on
designing computers that can make decisions and predictions and perform a task based on data

instead of being programmed to do that particular task in a specific manner.
Al is a challenging field because for machines to act and behave like human beings, we need to
feed a large amount of information about the world into them. Introducing the concepts of
common sense, problem-solving, and reasoning are difficult tasks. The research associated with

Al is highly technical and advanced. Some people believe that creating machines that are as
intelligent as human beings might prove to be dangerous to humanity, if left unsupervised.
