                                                             Plants

Plants are living things which can prepare their own food. Plants prepare their
food from carbon dioxide, water and sunlight.

                                                      Types of Plants

There are different kinds of plants-big and small.

            Trees

Plants which are very big are called trees. They have many

branches and are supported by a thick stem called the trunk.

Neem, peepal, banyan, mango and coconut are some
            examples of trees. Mango Tree

                                     Shrubs

Small plants are called shrubs. They have woody stems. Rose,
hibiscus, and henna (mehandi) are shrubs. They have a

                                     maximum height of 4 feet.
