¨ Computer is an electronic machine that works according to our need. Nowadays we use
computers at many places as they are fast, accurate and have a very high memory.

computer system.
¨ All the physical parts of a computer that you can see and touch are called hardware.
¨ The hardware of a computer is further classified into input, process, output and storage
devices.

¨ The devices that are used to enter data into the computer and give instructions are called
input devices.
¨ CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. It is responsible for processing the data given
by the user.
