our need. Nowadays we use computers at many places as they are fast, accurate and
have a very high memory.

A computer is made up of many parts that work together. That is why it is called a

computer system. Hardware and software are the two basic parts of a computer which
make a computer work. In this chapter, we will learn about hardware .

WHAT IS COMPUTER HARDWARE?

All the physical parts of a computer that you can see and touch are called hardware .
In a computer, you can see the components of the hardware that are attached to the
CPU cabinet by cables. Like the internal organs in your body, some parts of the
