FACE OF THE EARTH
This is our Earth. We all live on it.
Most of the Earth is covered with water. There are rivers, seas, lakes and
ponds.
• The rest of the Earth is land.
• We live on land.
• We build houses and roads on land.
• We plant trees on land. We grow
different kinds of crops on land.
• We build our houses on land.
• We do all of our activities on land.
PHYSICAL FEATURES OF THE EARTH
Land is not the same everywhere. There are
plains, rivers, and hills. Flat lands are called
plains. High flat land is called plateau. The
land that goes up and down is called a hill. A
higher hill is called a mountain. Some
mountains are covered with snow. Frozen
rivers are called glaciers.
