We all celebrate many days in our country. These happy days are called festivals.

A festival is a time of happiness any joy.
On this day, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after killing Ravana. Before Diwali

we clean our house, and do white-washing or painting. On Diwali, people light

the house with candles and lamp and worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord
            Ganesha.

                                                    Religious Festivals

                                                Holi

Holi is a festival of colours. We play with gulal and
coloured water. We sing and dance. It is the time of

wheat harvesting. So Holi is also called a harvest

festival. Especially, children enjoy the festival of Holi.

the victory of good over evil. On this day,
Lord Rama defeated Ravana and ended the

battle. Effigies of Ravana and his son

            Meghanath and brother Kumbhakaran are

burnt in open ground on Dussehra.
                                                                                              Dussehra
