We live in a house as a family. Many families live near and around us. These form
our neighbourhood.
People in our neighbourhood are called our neighbours. We must be good to our
neighbours. They would also be good to us.
Nowadays, people of different communities live together as neighbours. We
must love and respect our neighbours.
Places in Neighbourhood
Let us read about some of the places in our neighbourhood.
Market
The market is the noisiest and busiest part of
the neighbourhood. It has many shops where
you can buy food items, books, toys, clothes
and gifts. You can also use the services of a
cobbler, carpenter and electrician in the
market.
Post Office
At the post office, we can buy envelopes and
stamps and post letters. We can also send
electronic Money Orders (eMO) and parcels.
