Police Station
The policemen work at the police
station. They help maintain law and
order. They catch thieves, robbers and
criminals and put them in jail. The traffic
policemen control the traffic on the
road.
Hospital
A hospital is a place where the doctor
examines sick people. The sick persons are
called patients. Nurse helps the doctor in
taking care of the patients. A hospital also
has an ambulance to take the patients to
the hospital in case of emergency.
Fire Station
A fire station has fire fighters called a fire
brigade. It has a van which has water in it. The
water is thrown at pressure to extinguish the
fire in the locality.
When we dial 112 to inform about a fire
accident, the fire fighters come out with their
van. A siren tells the traffic to move out of the
way.
Bank
A bank is a well-guarded place. Your parents keep
their money there. They take it out. Some banks
have lockers to store jewellery and important
papers. Most banks also have an ATM counter.
