Precautions for Cyclones
Before the cyclone
• Check for any objects near the house that can fly and anchor them.

television or newspapers.
• Evacuate when instructed and close all doors and windows of the
house.
• Switch off the main power switch of the house before evacuation.
• Make necessary arrangement to shift the essential household goods,
domestic animals and vehicles to safer places.
• Keep ready the phone numbers of all emergency services such as the
police, the fire brigade and medical centres.
