The river Ganga has been known to us since time immemorial. Its name is found in the Vedic texts as well as in the
‘mantras’ and even today it is an important part of growth and development. However, human activities have highly
polluted the river and rendered it dangerous. Find out about the different government organizations and NGOs that
have stepped in to save the river. Also, discuss with the other students about the various steps each one should take
to reduce pollution of rivers in general.
