Good House

• A good home is clean and airy.

• It must have open spaces.

• It must allow a lot of sunlight and fresh air
to come into the house.

• Windows and doors must have wire nettings to stop flies and mosquitoes
from entering the house.

Animals at Our Homes

Some animals live with us at our homes. We like them. They are called pet

animals. Can you name any two pet animals?

rats and houseflies also live in

our home. They spread diseases ant cockroach spider housefly

and make us sick. We do not like
them. We can remove them by
termite lizard mosquito mouse
cleaning our home regularly.

Keeping Our Home Clean

We should take the following measures to keep our home clean.

• We should dust the room and furniture regularly.

• We should make the windows and doors have wire nettings.

• We should remove cobwebs from walls and covers.

• We should flush toilets after use and keep them clean.

• We should sweep the floor with phenyl.

• We should mop the floor daily.

• We should throw the waste into the dustbin.
