Special Occasions


            We wear colourful clothes on special occasions like

            festivals, weddings and birthday-parties. Such clothes
            are also called party-wears.


              Do you Know?


              Silk, cotton and wool are natural fibres. Some clothes are made
              from man-made fibres (made in factories) like nylon, rayon, etc.


                                              Clothes for Professionals


            People in different jobs wear different types of clothes called uniform. Their
            uniform is specific to their job.


            •      A lawyer wears a black coat.

            •      A nurse wears a white shirt.

            •      A professional in army wears a green dress. It also contains

                   the badges of his rank.

            •      Postman, policeman, pilot, sailor, driver, fire-fighter, traffic policeman—all

                   have particular dresses.



                                                          Costumes

            People   living   in different countries of the  world  wear different  types  of

            clothes. The clothes which actors and dancers wear are also called costumes.

            People living in different countries of the world wear dresses according to their
            need and climate.
