House

A house is a place where we live. It protects us from all weather changes-hot,

cold, rain or storm. We feel comfortable and safe in our house. A house also saves
us from wild animals and thieves.

Types of Houses

Houses are of different types.

Hut—This is made of mud, straw and bamboo.

Flat—This is one of the houses in a tall building.

Bungalow—This is a house with many rooms and a garden.

Houseboat—This is a house in a boat.

Igloo—This is a house made of ice blocks.

Caravan—This is a house with wheels to move on .

Parts of My House

There are many rooms in my house. Each room is used for a different purpose.

• We sleep in the bedroom.

• We eat in the dining room.

• We cook in the kitchen.

• We study and work in the study room.

• We bathe and use the toilet in the bathroom.
