RUNNING A PRESENTATION
After making slides for your presentation, you can run it by pressing F5 key on the
keyboard or by clicking on the Slide Show icon on the status bar. Or click on the Slide
Show tab and select the From Beginning option to start the slide show from the
beginning.

Always keep the computer room clean. Since your shoes may have dirt stuck on them,
remember to take them off before entering the computer room.

¨ A presentation is a collection of slides arranged in a systematic order that displays
information along with graphics, sound and animation.
¨ A slide is like a page of a PowerPoint presentation that displays some information
related to a topic.
¨ The Slides Navigation pane is a small window on the left side of the presentation
window.
¨ A new presentation can be created in by using the Blank Presentation option or by using
templates.
¨ By default, a presentation has only one slide with dotted rectangular boxes, called
Placeholders.
¨ You can run a presentation by pressing the F5 shortcut key.
¨ To exit PowerPoint, click on the close button on the Title Bar or use the Alt +F4 key
combination.
