            EXPLORING DATABASES
            Database  is  a  collection  of  inter-related  data  which  helps  in  efficient  retrieval  (taking  out
            information) insertion and deletion of data from the database and organises the data in the form of
            tables, views, reports, etc. Let's discuss a few examples:

            •    An online telephone directory would use a database to store data pertaining to people, their
                 phone numbers and their other contact details, etc.
            •    Your electricity service provider is using a database to manage billing, client-related issues,
                 to rectify the faulty data, etc.

            •    A school's database organizes data about students, teachers and admin staff, etc.

            FEATURES OF DATABASE
            Look at the given example of database. It has four fields, namely, Roll No., Name, Class, and
            Marks.
