INTERNET
The term Internet stands for inter national net work. It is a huge

network of computers around the world. Internet is a combined
collection of many interconnected computer networks around the
world. Millions of computers are connected in this network by
telephone wires and other network connecting devices. Using

these computers people can share and exchange information. A
connection to the Internet is needed to access the Internet.

USES OF THE INTERNET

Some of the uses of the Internet are:

• You can get a lot of information on any topic on the Internet.
• You can buy and sell products on the Internet.

• You can pay bills through the Internet.

• You can book airline/railway/movie tickets.
• You can send messages, known as e-mails to any part of the world.

• You can chat with people on the Internet.
