COMPONENTS OF WORD WINDOW

            The various components of Word 2021 window are as follows:


               Title Bar
               It  is  present  at  the  top  of  the Word  window.  It  displays  the  document  name

               followed by the program name.

               Quick Access toolbar

               It  is  present  at  the  left-most  corner  of  the  Word  window.  It  has  buttons  for
               commands that are used frequently. By default, it shows the Autosave                    , Undo   and
               Repeat commands.

               Ribbon

               A Ribbon holds several tabs on it, such as File Home Insert Draw Design                              ,
                        ,
               Layout References Mailings Review View and                     Help. Each tab has commands
                                                     ,

               that  are  arranged  into  groups.  You  will  use  these  tabs  to  perform  the  most
               common tasks in Word.
               Dialog Box Launcher
               It is the small icon that appears in some groups. If you click on this icon, a dialog
               box related to that group opens. It may contain many options that you can select
               as per your choice.


               Work Area
               This  is  the  area  used  for  typing,  editing  and  formatting  the  text. A  cursor  is
               present in the work area which shows the position at which text appears when

               you type.

               Ruler

               The Ruler is a measuring tool for adjusting indents and the width of margins for a
               document. You can also hide the Ruler to create more screen space. There are
               two rulers- Horizontal ruler       and Vertical ruler    .

               •  The Horizontal ruler is present at the top of the document window. It is used to set
                 the left and right margins.
               •  The vertical ruler is present at the left of the document window. It is used to set the

                 top and bottom margins.

               Scroll Bars
               Scroll bar allows you to move the window viewing area up, down, left, or right.

               By default, the Vertical scroll bar       and Horizontal scroll bar       are shown.
